We have based our colours on TWO groups

TDC™ coatings - Colour range is categorised into TWO different environmental versions to show the build-in effect that the colours have on the environment.
We have separated the colours according to their heat attraction that happens with any colour, no matter what (Solar Absorption).
The Solar Absorption is rated from 0.01(very little absorption) to 0.99 (extreme absorption) or, from very light to very dark. Values 0.01up to 0.45 are considered good and do not attract extra heat and reflect. Neutral is around 0.45-0.48.
Any higher value will increase the heat absorption beyond the actual outside
temperature and create an environment of URBAN HEAT, resulting in higher energy costs for you and a negative outlook for the environment as a whole.
All TDC colours will reduce the heat going through regardless of colour by around 30%, 24/7-365 days/yr. A dark colour will still heat up but the heat will take longer to get through the substrate.

Most if not all paints are based on Acrylic polymers and are advertising to reflect light / heat which makes them better.. It ONLY works with light colours and when the sun is up! TDC™ ar a coating will reduce the temperature transition in or out of the substrate no matter what! Choosing soft colours will add more benefits when the sun is up; the same as any light colour advertised..

SOLAR REFLECTANCE EXPLAINT

The Solar Reflectance is rated from

  0 = BLACK to 100 = WHITE

It is the factor with which the surface reflexes/rejects the solar heat relative to the substrate.  Or, from very light to very dark. the darker the colour the smaller the number.

  60-65 would be neutral.
Any higher value will increase the heat reflection.
the lower the number the higher the environment of URBAN HEAT is created,  The result is higher energy costs for you and a negative outlook for the environment as a whole.
